Daffodils!

Last July, H and I layed wet newspaper on top of the scruffy grass around the bottom of our maple tree, and topped it with used bunny bedding and compost. Then in November, we planted tulips and daffodils.

She was so excited when these bloomed on Sunday! (I hope she'll still be excited this fall when it's time to plant more bulbs to fill in the bare spots!)
