Just Duct-y

Everyone who doesn't live under a rock or in a cave has seen the "Keep Calm and Carry On" posters that are all over the web.  I like them, because I have a penchant for all things British. (Not to mention the fact that "Keep Calm and Carry On" is just good advice.)

However, I also have an aversion to "bandwagon jumping".  I really don't like to follow trends; I would rather find my own "cool thing" or to tweak the trend to suit my own tastes.  So, my "Keep Calm and Carry On" poster (also known as "The BEST Christmas Gift Ever") is a one-of-a-kind Tylor Martin original.  Made out of - wait for it - that all purpose multifunctional medium called Duct Tape.

Feast your eyes:

Before Framing

It's difficult to tell from these photos, but the detail in this piece is nothing short of amazingly accurate to the original poster.  In fact, if the two were viewed side by side, the only discernible difference would be a more substantial texture in the duct tape piece.

In Frame

(This is the sort of thing that results from actively encouraging artistic ability and creativity in children....and why Art classes in public schools should be FULLY funded.....)

p.s.  I realize that now I've posted this to the world wide webiverse, there will be copy-cat duct tapers who make their own version of this poster.  But, remember, the bandwagon started here.  :)
